Schoolday helps parents organise school messages. It is intended for parents and guardians.

What Schoolday saves

Your account email, family and child profiles, optional family photo, school messages you share, extracted actions, briefing history and notification preferences are saved in your private family space. Schoolday also stores sign-in sessions and device subscriptions needed to provide the service.

Sign-in and school emails

Signing in identifies you; it does not give Schoolday access to your Gmail inbox. To receive messages, you separately set up forwarding to your personal Schoolday address. With forwarding enabled on a school-only inbox, new incoming messages are copied to Schoolday according to your email provider’s forwarding rules.

Services that process your information

Schoolday is hosted on ChatGPT Sites, using its database and file storage. Resend receives forwarded emails. When you allow AI processing, message text is sent to the OpenAI API to suggest actions and dates. Your sign-in provider processes your login. Your browser’s notification service delivers phone alerts when you enable them.

Sharing with another parent

The family owner can create an invitation for another parent’s Google email. After accepting, that parent can view and update the same children, school messages, reminders and family preferences. Invitations expire after seven days. Only the owner can invite or remove other parents or delete the shared family. A parent can leave at any time; removal also disconnects their phone notifications for that family. Any separate personal workspace they had remains saved.

Your choices

You can change processing consent and notification preferences in Settings & privacy. Delete a message to remove it and its linked actions. As the family owner, delete your family data to remove the family’s records, photo, sign-in sessions and notification subscriptions from Schoolday. Stop forwarding in your email provider if you no longer want new messages sent here. Provider logs and backups may follow their own retention policies.

Schoolday does not read attachments or school pages behind a login in this version. AI suggestions can be wrong; the source message remains available for checking.
